Avoid Makeup
Makeup clogs your pores, and after the facial, your skin needs to breathe. So, avoid applying lipstick, pressed powder and any cosmetics for 24 hours after the treatment.
Skip Harsh Products
After the facial, your skin will be the cleanest it has ever been in your entire life. So, skip your skincare routine for at least 5 days. Give it time to heal! Ask the aesthetician what moisturizers or serums you can apply.
Apply SPF Daily
The skin becomes photosensitive after a facial. So, apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ during the day, even if it’s cloudy.
Avoid Sweating
Avoid activities that might make you sweat, such as hot yoga, saunas, and cardio. When the sweat duct gets blocked, sweat gets trapped beneath the skin. After a facial, this can cause breakouts.
Don’t Pick or Exfoliate Peeling Skin
Your skin might start to peel, but that’s perfectly normal. Don’t panic! Most importantly, don’t pick at it.
Stay Hydrated
To flush out the toxins, drink plenty of water. This will plump up your skin and give it a radiant glow.
