Laser Hair Removal – Post-Treatment Care
Stay Indoors for 2 Days
The first 48 hours after the treatment are crucial. Avoid direct sunlight and try to remain indoors. If you must run for an emergency errand, wear SPF 30 sunscreen.
Don’t Take Anything for Hyperpigmentation
Hyperpigmentation causes patches on the skin, some of which are light and others dark. This side effect is temporary and will go away on its own in 6 months, so there is no need for interventions.
Do Not Pick at Scabs
Some people experience scabs or crusting on the treated site. Do not pick at these, as they can cause ingrown hair.
Take Care of Whiteheads
Laser hair removal might cause mild folliculitis (whiteheads). Apply any over-the-counter acne cream or dab a little alcohol on them. They will go away in 2 to 3 days.
Note: Call us immediately if any severe side effects appear, such as blistering. If the Medspa is closed, apply sunblock and Neosporin on the area until you can contact us.
