Body Contouring – Treatment Protocol
Body contouring procedures went from a “does-this-actually-work” to a multi-million-dollar business when they became the contouring choice du jour. To maintain our high safety standards and get the best results, we have compiled some vital information you must read before the treatment.
When Should You Avoid Body Contouring Treatment?
You are not a candidate for body contouring if you have:
  • A history of seizures
  • A pacemaker or defibrillator
  • Metal and synthetic or silicone fillers
  • Abdominal mesh
  • Pregnancy
  • Autoimmune Diseases or Immunosuppression – Scleroderma, Psoriasis, Skin Disorders
  • Undiagnosed skin lesions
  • An active tan
  • Active infection or open lesions
  • A health problem that requires blood thinners
  • Poorly controlled diabetes
Pre-Treatment Instructions
  • Avoid going out for 1 to 2 weeks before the treatment to prevent fresh sunburns.
  • The treatment area should be clean and dry.
  • Men must be freshly shaved.
  • Do not apply any lotions or oils.
  • Stop taking anticoagulants 7 to 14 days before the treatment to avoid bruising.
Additional Guidelines
  • This treatment works best with a healthy nutritional and exercise plan.
  • The typical response to treatment is erythema, slight edema, and tighter-looking skin.
  • Mild bruising may occur from the vacuum aspect of the procedure.
  • Erythema and purpura are common responses and resolve after 2 weeks.
Treatment Spacing
Our aestheticians usually recommend 6 treatment sessions over 6 weeks. Some clients might start to see the results after just 4 sessions. The chances of your body not responding to the treatment are few.
According to individual response, maintenance treatment is recommended every 3 months or more.
