Post-Care Microdermabrasion Protocols
Sun protection is crucial. Use sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher daily and avoid direct sun exposure for at least a week following your treatment.
Avoid harsh or abrasive skincare products, including retinoids and alpha hydroxy acids, for a few days after the procedure.
Keep your skin well-hydrated with a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturizer
Use minimal makeup for a day or two following the treatment, as your skin may be slightly sensitive.
Cool Water Cleansing
Cleanse your face with cool or lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser. Avoid hot water and vigorous scrubbing.
Sunbathing and Heat
Avoid sunbathing, tanning beds, saunas, and hot baths for a few days after microdermabrasion.
Refrain from scrubbing or using additional exfoliating products on the treated area for at least a week.
Moisturize and Soothe
Use a soothing moisturizer containing ingredients like aloe vera or hyaluronic acid to keep your skin calm.
We recommend scheduling a follow-up appointment to assess your skin’s progress and provide additional skincare recommendations if needed.
Understanding Side Effects
Be aware that you may experience mild redness or peeling, which is temporary and part of the skin’s natural healing process.
