Everything You Need to Know about AHA Core Peel
We Love Chemical Peels & So Does Your Skin!
A wrinkle free, spotless, smooth skin is lying just beneath the first layer of your skin and science has helped us get to it in the fastest way possible!
If you’re here, you’re probably considering getting a chemical peel. It may seem a little scary or risky at first, but chemical peels are one of the most misunderstood popular skin care procedures. The truth is, they’re actually very safe to get when they are done by a professional and they have a ton of skin care benefits.
So If you’re wondering what a chemical peel is and why it’s a good face treatment, we’re here to explain — with the assistance of a few professionals, of course.
These treatments were extremely popular in the ‘90s, but they were incredibly painful. The latest acid formulations, as well as dermatologists’ techniques for using them, have since been improved. As it turns out, chemical peels can actually deliver more skin improvements than high-tech devices, such as reversing age spots, melasma, and acne.
“The goal is no longer to cause apparent peeling, but rather to infuse the skin with chemicals that reduce wrinkles, build collagen, and enhance tone”, Says Dr. Samrah Ahmed, our Dermatologist at 3D Lifestyle.
Now, if you love skincare as much as we do then keep reading and help your skin make a radical comeback
First, Let’s get into “How do Chemical Peels work?”
Chemical Peels rejuvenate your skin for a more refreshed and smoother skin appearance. Our aestheticians use the specific amount of AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) to remove the upper layer of the skin (sounds scary! But don’t worry, it’s not!)
Removing the upper layer of skin with all the blemishes and wrinkles, it increases the production of collagen and elastin and at the same time inhibits the production of pigmentation. So.. no discoloration either!
Let’s cover the steps of this amazing peel!
Step 1: Double Cleanse
Pre-Cleanse: Applying gentle cleanser cream to prep the skin for a deep cleanse
Cleanse: Using SkinCeuticals’s Simply Clean Gel to gently remove all of the skin impurities
Step 2: Exfoliation
Leave for about 3-5 minutes and then remove with warm water
Step 3: Application of Skin Toner
Applying Equalizing Toner evenly over facial skin
The first 3 steps remove dead skin cells, oil, dirt, and other pollutants from the skin.

Step 4: Degreasing – Applying firm pressure, degrease the skin with 70% concentrated Alcohol.
Degreasing disinfects the skin, preparing it for maximum penetration.
Step 5: Application of The Core AHA Peel

Step 9: Epidermal Repair:
Epidermal repair supports skin’s natural barrier function. This gentle treatment diminishes the appearance of redness.
Final Step: Protection of the Skin
Applying light textured sunscreen to protect face from harmful UV rays
Promotes skin healing, prevents bacterial infection, and also helps with pigmentation, possible redness, and inflammation.

Now that we have covered the baseline of chemical peels, let’s get to the fun part! What exactly are the benefits of removing your layer of skin..?
- Tired of your wrinkles making you look old?
One of the most common reasons patients opt for chemical peels is because they want to address fine lines and wrinkles formed from ageing.
You can apply the peel to your face, neck, or hands. Incorporating chemical peels into the regimen helps to make skin resurface more quickly. Ultimately, the topmost layer peels away, and the thicker skin underneath is renewed. By peeling away the outer layer of dead skin cells, chemical peels help reveal smoother and healthier-looking skin.
- Combat Sun Damaged Skin
Exposure to ultraviolet rays can cause premature ageing. Chemical peels can help heal and reverse the damage done by the sun. They are more commonly used to improve the appearance of your face, neck, and hands.
To keep the results of your treatment, you must still wear sunscreen every day. The chemical peels eliminate wrinkles and sun spots, which are formed by damage to the skin from the sun.
- Acne Scars; The real issue
Peeling removes dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. Collagen, a structural protein, is produced by your skin when it is damaged by acne. A good peel can help cleanse pores and prevent recurring outbreaks.
These peels can improve minor scars and surface acne. To enhance the appearance of severe scars, a deeper peel or another treatment may be required. And we will help you choose the best option.
- Hyperpigmentation
An excellent technique to fix pigmentation disorders such as hyperpigmentation, melasma, and age spots. Chemical Peels can be useful for pigmentation on the face, hands, neck, chest, and among other areas.
- You’ll enjoy better skin tone and texture
A chemical peel will not only solve your skin troubles, but it will help accelerate the growth of fresh, new skin as well. This will improve the overall appearance and texture of your skin, resulting in a radiant glow that will last for days.
- Maximised Results from Your Skincare Products
Chemical peels work by eliminating the top layer of dead skin cells from the skin, allowing your skin care products to be absorbed more deeply, and allowing them to have the greatest possible effect on your skin.
